True risk prevention (online & offline)

After a review of the most widely used Internet safety education programs of the field's first 15 years, researchers at the University of New Hampshire concluded that "most current Internet safety education fails to incorporate critical elements of effective prevention education.… There is no evidence that the messages will succeed in making youth safer or help them make decisions that will improve their well-being." The study includes the four critical elements of effective risk prevention education.
